Q: I have more than one child who wants to take part in a free session. Can I get more vouchers?
A: Yes you can, just drop into your local Asda store and pick up enough vouchers for all your children.

Q: My child is very sporty and wants to try as many activities as possible; one voucher won’t be enough!
A: That’s no problem; just pick up more vouchers from your local Asda store. Please note some venues may restrict the use of Asda Sporting Chance vouchers to one per child. Check with the provider when booking.

Q: Are sessions suitable for disabled participants?
A: We’ve made every effort to ensure that as many of our sessions, and the venues they take place in, are as accessible as possible for people with disabilities. Please check with your individual session provider when booking.

Q: I found lots of sessions that interested me, but when I rang up to book there were no places left.
A: We always aim to remove sessions that are full from our website. If you do find that your chosen session is fully booked, leave your details with the session provider and they’ll contact you if there are any cancellations or add you to a waiting list.

Q: My local sports centre is not accepting Asda Sporting Chance vouchers. Why not?
A: We are working with a wide variety of leisure providers nationwide to provide free sports sessions. If your local facility is not participating yet please let us know and we will invite them to join the scheme.

Session Details

Q: What should my child wear for his/her session?
A: Check with the session provider who will be able to tell you the best clothes to wear, but generally loose, comfy clothing and trainers are best. In addition it’s always wise to bring along a bottle of water or if your activity is taking place outdoors, it’s a good idea to take along something warm to wear, or a hat and sunscreen if it’s hot.

Q: My child went to a free session and really enjoyed it. How can they carry on taking part in that sport?
A: If you find that your child would like to continue with a sport that you have tried, ask the session provider about ongoing sessions that they can sign up to, although there may be a charge for these, so check before booking.

Q: What is the age range of the session?
A: Within the session information you’ll be able to find the age ranges that apply to that session. If you’re still unsure whether the activity is suitable it’s best to contact the session provider directly and ask them.

Q: Are the coaches fully qualified?
A: In order to offer sessions on the scheme, all venues must meet required safety and child protection standards. To find out more, contact your individual venues.
